My daily work horse. Huge case. Beautiful minimalist design. Tough and Strong built quality. The front panel can be hinged on the left or right side. The biggest stand out feature for me is the sound deadening this case has. I literally cannot hear my System running whilst performing demanding task, honestly really impressive case by Fractal! I’m using the windowless variant of this case with an air cooling set up. Air flow has been great, the front panel can also be opened on a hinge to allow for more airflow if necessary. It’s a big case! So make sure you have adequate space. Thanks Scan!

Fungerar fint, lätt att göra om till server och ändå få ett flöde genom allt. Har byggt och ägt flera olika Fractal förr och denna är liknande tänk bakom, men modernare och smartare lösningar. Ljudnivån är helt ok, hör diskarna men då har jag burken i öronhöjd med fronten ca 30cm bort. Rymmer en Noctua NH-D15 precis, även om ena fläkten "står på ramet". Varför jag drog av en stjärna är för att min hade ett trasigt fäste för ena väggen, dom ser klena ut vilket oroar mig. Fästena är V-formade, kanske lite som en Batman kaststjärna, och väggar, tak osv har små bollar på en pinne som åker in i V-formen (fladdermusens huvud), och låser sig så, mitt fäste var av på mitten och famlade runt i chassit vid leverans. Annars nöjd!

I built a custom NAS with this and was able to fit 6 3.5 inch HDD and 12 2.5 inch SSD. Using E- ATX motherboard with dual Xeon. The additional HD trays are pretty cheap off eBay. Plenty of room and airflow, I know what to get now next time I do a custom build.

The case is well made and of a robust quality. It can be configured in multiple configurations depending on what you want to use it for. Storage or server etc. The XL is big and can hold 16 HDD and 2 SSD with ease in storage mode. Definitely worth the money.

The Define 7 XL is a good, large case. It is pretty easy to work with and arrived from Scan in good condition. The one (slight) issue was with the screws for mounting the HDDs - some of them have poor quality threads... there was plenty spare, so not a massive issue. . . but could have been slightly better.
