Silverstone SST-GD05B enclosure (SSTGD05BUSB3.0)

It looks really good fully assembled, after all the hell I went through I'm happy with the case's end result, but would I recommend some one else hell no unless you can get it for half off, and would I consider buying it again? DOUBLE HELL NO! feel this case should have been half the price I paid for it especially since I had to buy extra parts to make it work like the fan adapter and filters

This is my second GD05B. I bought it to replace a mATX case that had the PSU mount over the CPU cooler. I suspected that was the cause of high CPU temps (i7 4790K/Noctua NH-L9i cooler). CPU temps dropped over 10c at idle and 20c under load. 26c idle and in the 60s under load - ambient room temperature 78F. Since I don't have a video card that expels air out of the back of the case I changed Silverstone's airflow setup and have the fans bring in air over the mobo and expel it out the other side.

Great case. Matches other entertainment components quite well.

i was afraid I would scratch the faceplate trying to put USB plugs into the front, but the aluminum hasn't scratched yet.

For $100 its a great case. One of my favorite in the house and I've had many. The finish is strong and resists scratches. It looks as good today as it did 3 years ago
