Asus Modell: ZenWiFi BD4 BE36

Bytte en äldre ZenWifi AX mot denna, och har fått mängder med följdfel för mitt backhaul, min Pixel 8 och Sonos system.

After more than 2 months of use I got rid of the BD4 which offers anything but Zen wifi. I was using it in access point mode, the freebox serving as router (freebox wifi off) with an ethernet backhaul between the modules: there seems to be a major instability issue on the 5GHz band. I was forced to separate the 2 frequency bands onto different SSIDs, to disable all wifi 7 functions and even so it was impossible to get something clean on 5GHz. I had unexplained BEACON LOSS, DEAUTH for no reason about twenty seconds after a roam between the two access points, most likely an immature firmware or hardware issue. Having switched to a tplink deco AX3000, it's night and day. On paper the spec are not as good but installation is super easy, configuration is quick and by default it works perfectly well in similar conditions: access point, the access points on ethernet on a switch, single SSID: no random disconnections.

Denna skulle vara den bästa mesh routern på marknaden… aldrig haft så dålig router. Mina enheter tappar anslutning hela tiden även om man sitter still i samma rum och med full täckning. (2 meter från noden). Appen är så seg och måste starta om hela systemet så fort man gör en liten ändring. Andra noden tappar anslutning till första trots full täckning.

Fungerar ej med HP printer Envy 7100, skrivaren har ej kontakt över wifi med just den aimeshnoden, andra noder fungerar ok med skrivaren. I övrigt verkar den bra med hyfsad räckvidd från fönster ut i trädgården.

Bytte ut mitt gamla meshnätverk mot dessa. Oerhört smidig installation. Fungerar klockrent!
