TP-LINK TL-MR6500v, Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n), Singel-band (2,4 GHz), Nätverksansluten (Ethernet), 3G, Svart, Bordsrouter

Purchased for a relative who does not have a telephone line or fibre connection, it does its job rather well, i.e. providing a telephone line and internet access at a speed equivalent to VDSL. It is ideal for people who need to move around frequently (seasonal work), have problems accessing the internet for financial reasons or lack a physical communication line, or are facing significant constraints when moving house.

For my current small needs, the MR6500v works well thanks to a quick installation guide in French, as well as configuration on a PC screen. But if later I want to make the most of the product's possibilities, I'll have to translate the "telephony functionalities guide" and the 37 pages of the "user's guide" in writing, paragraph by paragraph, from English into French. ...I'll have to spend several hours on this with my school English.

Having internet at home is essential. Having it for cheap is even better. This modem router does the job and I'd recommend it. However, I'm sorry that it only offers 2.4GHz WiFi and that its parental control isn't practical. You need to define ranges where you allow a peripheral to be connected rather than ranges where it's forbidden, like on a LIVEBOX for example. The layout of the LEDs is not practical when the modem is placed high up. Most mobile packages are limited in terms of data, so it would have been useful to have information on consumption as soon as you connect to the application.

I bought this router for one reason only. I was closing down my landline and switching broadband to 4G but I also wanted to maintain our home phone and landline number by using VoLTE (not VOIP) and a virtual landline. After trying two other routers which failed at VoLTE, I bought this one. Brilliant! It worked both broadband and phone straight out of the box with little setup needed. Only downside is that it is old tech and not that fast - I get up to 65Mbps but that is good enough for me.

Perfect product. However, there was a lack of information about the delivery time, which was late, without any information. In fact I thought I would never be delivered. Apart from that, everything is in order. Thank you very much.
