I got a pair of these and had never used a bridge in the past. There was one hiccup where they come default as leafs, or whatever the word is in UniFi speak, and you need to make one the spine. Once I did that they worked perfectly. I have one at the top of a hill, temp hung from a tree via the Ethernet wrapped around a branch and the other down INSIDE my cabin, again temp hung with the Ethernet wrapped around a curtain rod, yes - redneck. As you can imagine this not an optimal setup. Glass is not a good thing for WiFi signal transmission (I am not going to talk about the trees in the way) and Ethernet, being twisted pair, keeps rotating the UniFis so they are not aimed at each other. I still get ~300Mbs on the UniFi graphs. Since this is a Cellular tethered network which runs around 60-70Mbps I am not pushing the limits even with this temporary rigged setup.

I use this to send data to my garage about 200' away from the house. I installed one on my back porch and the other in the window of the garage. Setup was a bit difficult for a noob, but after enough research online, I figured it out and the whole process took me about 4 hours, I think. Now, I could deploy this in no time at all, it's actually quite simple. Signal is good, and if I did some more learning, I'm sure I could make it even better. I use it now to get WIFI in my barn using an old FIOS router I reconfigured as an access point. I stream a 4K security camera and can download and stream with a Chromecast easily.

Received two new models in an unopened box. This product is for more knowledgeable than average users and requires basic networking skills as well as some understanding of wireless bridges.
