So far, so good. Not the first Osprey, appreciate the trampoline backs to keep the bag from covering airflow to the body. Great adjustment stamps, really keeps the feeling of the weight off.

Went out on 12 day hike in Tas, it was comfortable and I liked the size and features, I thought it may have been a bit small but it carried most of all I needed the rest I sometime ls strapped outside onto the bag!

The price-to-quality ratio is excellent. It's a robust, basic, yet reliable and comfortable product. An entry-level Osprey that performs its function very well.

For the price, excellent quality, sturdiness, and feel. A little loud, the shoulder straps are slightly too firm and harsh to be properly comfortable, though for $250 it's no dramas. Everything else about the bag is great. Try one on in store though, if you have abnormally wide traps or neck, it may cause some pain and a shirt collar is necessary. I'm 5'9" and built like a brick and it still fit well apart from the distance between straps. Would recommend to anyone buying a budget bag that wants to do some serious hiking/bushwalking.

The rook is a sophisticated pack, with 65 litres you have room to work with. My favourite parts about the rook is the side pockets on each side; as it has enough depth to hold a reasonalble water bottle. Another is the built in waterproof cover. Yet it lacks a pocket at the front of pack which could have a stuff pocket or a zipped pocket. Thats one design flaw, but otherwise the pack is comfy and good if your stsrting out
