Unfortunately, I tried two of these saws and both exhibited problems with the saw head and rails being out of parallel. As the head is pulled out, they both drifted to the left. So either the rails are out of whack or the blade is not mounted parallel to the rails. The dust collection worked great but unfortunately, the two saws I had were not usable for my purposes. During this entire process, Acme Tools was very helpful and accomidating and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

I bought this saw because I have used makita saws in the past, and they have really impressed me. I liked the design of the saw how it slides on the front so it can still be right up against the wall when working. This saw definitely outperforms other makita saws I have used, and it is probably even comparable to the festool kapex. The dust collection is much better than any other miter saw that I have used, as well. The only downside to this saw is the weight. It is a very heavy saw, so if you are going to be doing a lot of moving around, I would not recommend it for you. All in all, I love it!

I've only used the saw for rough cuts so far, but it came out of the box as accurate as I will ever need it. Being able to put a slider close to the wall is why I bought it. Only one complaint: the fence does not slide, so you absolutely have to remove one when you make a beveled cut leaving only a small fence on that side. For compound cuts, you will have to use the other side of the fence to hold the stock. I am used to Dewalt saws where the fence can slide out for a bevel. One star lost for this issue. Still the best saw I have owned.

The saw isn't great. I had high hopes, but it isn't an appropriate tool for a professional finish carpenter. My first saw was very far out of alignment on the slide bars, which are not adjustable. The second one that came was better, although still not perfect. The second one exhibited bearing squeel after 7 days of use. Anyway, sending it back, will try the Bosch, was very worried about it's long term alignment and durability. there is no way to adjust the saw, only the degree tabs adjust. Very pleasant to use if you happen to get a good one

Saws fine but its a product that has been reinvented by Makita because they realized it can't be hooked to a vacuum that automatically grabs the dust. They reinvented this product with the AWS. DONT BUY THIS.
