Update - after some additional escalation with the Samsung service team, they did stand behind their product and will be completing the repair. I'm looking forward to getting the monitor back - when it worked it was great to use. Throughout the warranty/service process, I thought the Samsung call staff were helpful and I was impressed by the short call wait times. It's unfortunate that it took additional effort/escalation to reach a positive outcome, but I am happy that at the end of this frustrating experience, Samsung did stand behind their product.

For the first three weeks I owned the monitor, it was great....then it wouldn't power on. You would think this defective product wouldn't be anything more than an inconvenience, being under warranty. After troubleshooting with Samsung service team, needed to send to their repair center and this is where the trouble really starts. Allegedly, it was damaged in transit. After nearly 2 months and probably a dozen calls to follow up on the status - carrier denied the claim, Samsung denied the warranty repair. Seems like an opportunity for Samsung to rise to the occasion and make it right (replacement, refurbished model, discount on replacement), but nothing more than a sorry your claim is denied. Wish I could be writing a review about the great experience I had with this monitor and excellent Samsung's service, but sadly that's not the case. I'd skip the Samsung monitor, buy from a different manufacturer.

I brought this just recently, Resolution and display quality are great, but be aware if you want to use the this monitor in 4k 60hz over usb-c using PD for a laptop then the Ethernet port will only run 10/100 not 1gbs. Unfortunately this limitation renders it unusable as a laptop dock.

This monitor was a good price but not great for productivity use. The text wasn’t as nice as my previous monitor and colours had a bad purple shift which could not be corrected by changing settings. If I had known this I wouldn’t have purchased it and would have paid more for an IPS model.
