Makita Vibroslipmaskin BO4556 med väska

Our previous Makita sander lasted almost 15 years with over 100 hours use. Unfortunately this new sander disintegrated with under 10 hours use. Not covered by warranty. Not real happy. Could it be that Makita has cheapened their products???

I have had several palm sanders. The Makita has worked well. I did have to take it apart and get some of the very fine sawdust out because it stopped working. I would however purchase the Makita sander again. Also, I love the case.

I've always been a fan of Makita Power tools. They used to make high quality tools designed to be a little quieter than most comparable tools, but this palm sander is the last Makita tool I will ever buy. What a cheaply made piece of junk! It is just over a year old, with 2-3 hours of total use. I was finish sanding my latest project and the sanding pad completely fell off, sending parts all over the floor. It is beyond repair. This is tool is a real disappointment... and other reviews confirm that I am not the only one this has happened too.

I've owned a lot of Makita tools and I have always had good luck with them. The Makita BO4556K 2.0 Amp 4-1/2-Inch Finishing Sander was the exception to this rule. It had been in my shop for several months but had seen very little use. I pulled it out to smooth out the finish on a stained wood table top, really light duty work, and as I'm sanding along, the base of the sander flys off and four little pieces from inside go shooting across my shop. I couldn't believe it. The inside is all plastic. About as durable as an icicle on a hot day. I'm sending it back to Makita. It is under warranty, but I don't really care if they replace it or not. I have no confidence in the tool. And so, based on my personal experience: I would not buy this tool again. I would not recommend it to a friend, and I would not recommend it to a stranger......... Don't buy it! It's an unbelievably worthless piece of junk.

I did alot of research prior to buying this, and it worked out to my expectations. I've used this sander for several small projects, and it does not disappoint. In hindsight, I sort of wish I got a model with variable speeds, but I knew this was a single speed when I purchased so that is on me. Still, a very nice sander and it does what I need it to do.
