Samsung Soundbar - - HW-Q800D/ZF - Bluetooth - Dolby Atmos - Svart

I had an old Yamaha receiver set up with a Yamaha sub woofer and centre speaker, and some big old B&W speakers which I was happy with but recently the receiver started misbehaving. A mate warned me that I would be disappointed if I bought a soundbar and to be honest, initially I was. I tweaked the settings but still felt it was a little underwhelming watching free to air TV. I'm very impressed with the sound quality when watching a streaming service however. It's a different story altogether and really comes alive. Overall I'm very impressed with this unit. The sub woofer is bigger than I was expecting however

Sound quality is excellent. Don't expect proper surround sound as the soundbar lacks satellite speakers, but in every other way it's a huge upgrade to the built in TV speakers. The voices especially come through so much clearer with this soundbar. I used to have to turn the volume up on my TV during dialogue just so I could make out the words, and then turn it back down during action sequences, but I no longer have to do that. Great service from HN as well.

The Samsung HW-Q800D is, on paper, all but indistinguishable from the model it replaces. In the flesh, it’s a good-looking and well-made system. In action, it’s a great spatial audio performer that’s undermined somewhat by its rather vague and flimsy treble reproduction. But, in general, this is the perfect soundbar for almost any TV – especially if you have a modern Samsung set.

The Samsung Q800D 5.1.2 Channel Soundbar sounds fantasic especially when watching a movie or listening to music.

Very easy to set up and use. Great Sound. Seamless connection to my Samsung TV.
