Thrustmaster TH8S Shifter är ett prisvärt och mångsidigt val för simracers som söker en H-mönster växelspak. Den fungerar med PC och konsoler samt många olika rattar tack vare USB och DIN-kontakter. Metallspaken och sportknoppen ger precis och snabb växling, och motståndet kan justeras för personlig känsla. Plastknoppen känns dock mindre premium och det finns inget sekventiellt läge, vilket vissa användare ser som en nackdel. Ljud och lätt aktion kan störa vid intensiv användning. At this price, you obviously can't expect miracles. It's made entirely of plastic and feels more like a toy than a real gear lever. But for those who want to have fun with a manual gearbox on their favourite simulation, it's an excellent purchase. The dual connectivity (for connection to a Thrustmaster base or via USB-C) means you can look to the future with confidence. Perhaps the 7th gear wasn't necessary after all...

I think my gearbox is really excellent for the price, it's really good. The gear changes on Assetto are excellent, and on ETS 2 too. I still need to test it with City Car Driving. I don't regret my purchase.

The shifter itself works well however it was broken out of the box. The red part on top with all the gear numbers and the leather dust guard thing was fully snapped off

I am just starting with simracing, and functionally it is good enough for me. The main downside is that there is no option for hard mount of the shifter. Having only the clamp, I was not able to mount it securely on my playseat challenge X, so the whole shifter rotates around the clamp. Although I expect that it should work better when mounted on table, where it can be pressed against the edge of the table. Also a bit disappointing that it cannot work in sequential mode, but on the other hand it has such a nice price. Probably I will have to upgrade quite soon because of these two limitations.
