I was considering getting a heavy duty sewing machine but I opted for this instead as I didn't have a huge budget, I was pleasantly surprised by this machine, no problems with it so far and it goes through all the layers of fabric I ask it to. I really am happy with my purchase and I'd definitely recommend it to both 1st time and experienced sewists. Great for quilters too

I am an oap. Just started to sew so wasn't buying a expensive one. This is really a good buy to help me with my quilting. I found the needle threader good and use all the time
