The inside screen breaks easily. The warranty doesn't cover the inner screen, so the only option Google will offer is repair process. But repairing an inner screen costs more than replacing the phone. A mail in replacement may be offered, but you have to send in the broken one first, do without it while waiting for a replacement you hope they will send (for estimated cost of $912+tax), then set up the new one without the old one to help. They don't care if that means you can't log on at work, or it causes safety issues. And before this all becomes clear, they don't return call requests, then string you along for ages if you start a chat getting you to send various details & photos & promising to help, only to disappoint in the end.

I bought this phone in late December, and by early March it was completely dead. Just three months in — I’ve never had a phone this unreliable. On top of that, the Google support experience has been very poor. They keep asking me to send the faulty phone (with a battery issue) via DHL, even though DHL has clearly stated they won’t accept it for shipping. Despite this, support keeps repeating the same instruction, going in circles without offering a workable solution. I would not recommend buying a Google phone. The product is unreliable, and the support team has not been helpful. If you do decide to buy one, I’d say good luck — and hope nothing goes wrong. Otherwise, be prepared to spend countless hours dealing with support through calls and emails.

I bought my fold pro in oct 2024, 8 months later the front screen was not longer touch enabled and shortly after the device failed completely. It was unfixable and I was forced to take refurbished one after waiting for 2 months. 12 months later the refurbished phone has failed. Google refuse to refund under Australian consumer law. Other ongoing issues have been aspect ratio, closing windows due to x placement, having to enter a pin Number twice every time the screen sleeps.

This thing is a piece of garbage. The first phone failed. It was returned to Google. Forget a service centre in Australia. They send it to Singapore. A new phone was provided. That also failed. It was returned. Google will now provide me with a 'certified refurbished' piece if garbage. Do yourself a favour. Buy a Samsung, just use Google to find the best price.
