Excellent bit of kit for a beginner - everything is in the box. All you need is a warm coat and a clear(ish) night. The tripod is reassuringly heavy with all the counterweights and telescopic (no pun..!) legs for people of all ages. Really nice feel to the vertical/lateral adjustment dials, just moves a fraction at a time. Your first full moon is BREATHTAKING. (Compatible with all sorts of mounts for smartphones on 'auction' websites (ahem!) so you can not only see yourself, but share with your friends. Some great apps for iOS and Android for tracking stars, planets and the International Space Station!!

This item was a Xmas present for my daughter and son in law, They were thrilled to receive it and are getting a lot pleasure from it;s use. They have said it was fine to assemble and would recommend it to anyone looking to buy one

Amazing bit of kit, however takes a bit of time to set up, also buy orion lenses with the telescope to enhance you astronomical experience, here's a picture of the moon I was able to take through my telescope

Excellent elementary tool to observe the Moon. I like the superb finish of the product. Though it takes a few minutes to fix it in entirety, if fully disassembled, it gives a satisfactory result once you point it to see what you want. Variable eyepieces provide different experiences in viewing the same object from different perspectives. I'll suggest it for kids' learning tool to explore the night sky.
