Get generic bags or else you'll spend a fortune bagging things. Also this thing does have a vertical position, the foot/ wall print is significant.

I have had it for a while. Since the second time I used it, it only works about 60% of the time from. The other 40% of the time it doesn't create a vacuum, so it's completely useless. Don't buy it, it will drive you crazy.

We have had the unit for about 7months and it works great, no issues. Seal it, mark it and pop it into the freezer. Great for frost free freezers as it extends the shelf life of the food.

I love this foodsaver, super easy to use. I taught my 9 year old how to use it. I've saved a bit on veggies, I cook extra each meal and freeze left-overs after sealing them. I've sealed cereal bags, chip bags, candy bags etc.... I've only had one of those not seal properly as the bag was too wrinkled. Absolutly worth the money paid.
